Children and Young People Policy

Acts Global Churches, formally Apostolic Church Australia, is committed to ensuring children are protected from any form of harm or abuse. Extensive policy, processes and training is implemented across all our churches to ensure that children are protected whenever in our care. Our policy covers all states and territories across Australia and is required for all churches regardless of size, location or specific operations. We seek to ensure that the protection of children takes precedence over the reputation of the church or any individual.

In the recent findings from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Abuse, there have been 27 recommendations that relate to all religious institutions. Many of these recommendations are already a part of our policy and practices, and some others we are working to implement, along with updates from legislation change and best practice procedures.

Our 2018 policy is downloadable below, and we welcome any questions or feedback in regard to our child protection policy or best practices.

Acts Global Churches takes the reporting of any allegation or complaint against any minister, employee or church member, extremely seriously and will provide care, support and understanding to any survivor or those providing support.
